Kymberleigh Irwin serves as the swim coach for our swim team. With over 3 years of experience coaching swimming. She has worked with the Clarksville YMCA and the Robertson County YMCA and she has achieved getting the Robertson County swim team to first place several times.
Before coaching, Kymberleigh Irwin had a strong swimming background, she swam for the Robertson County YMCA, the Clarksville YMCA, Team USA, and Nashville Aquatics Club (NAC). She had been a swimmer for over 7 years and during those 7 years she had coached for the Clarksville swim team and she had gotten many firsts with the teams she had been with.
Irwin believes in building teamwork and pushing her kids to their goals by helping them get to their personal records (pr). She strives to make it to be an Olympic swim coach at some point, but in the meantime she is happy being here for her swimmers and pushing them to achieve their goals and train them to their full capability.
She holds her lifeguard certifications for The American Red Cross and Jeff Ellis Management, as well as her Lifeguard instructor certification for The American Red Cross, and is officially a USA Swimming certified Swim Coach as of December 2024. She is here to ensure the highest standards of safety and expertise.
Outside of swimming Irwin enjoys rock climbing, drawing, singing and working out. One of her favorite swim memories was when she swam for NAC. She had swam the 100 freestyle with one of her friends and they had gotten the same exact time at that meet down to the 100th of a second and at the next meet they both swam the 100 freestyle again, but they had both dropped time and somehow again they had the same exact drop time as well again down to the 100th of a second.
